Giving Notice
Fourteen clear days notice in writing is required whenever you vacate. This condition applies to all situations including when you intend to vacate on the expiry date of your lease. The 14 days is effective from the date the notice is received at Absolute’s office. Rent is payable including the 14th day. Should the minimum 14 days notice not be given the tenant will be held responsible for rent for 14 days unless the property is re-leased within this time.
Breaking your Lease
This Company will assist tenants who find it necessary to break their lease on the following conditions:
(1) The tenant is responsible for, and must pay rent weekly in advance, until the property is re-let to a suitable tenant. The contract will be kept “on foot” and your notice to vacate does not in any way indicate a termination or repudiation of the Tenancy Agreement.
(2) The tenant must pay Absolute Real Estate NT all re-letting costs (1.5 of a week’s rent), advertising and rent until re-let.
(3) The tenant must allow access readily to show prospective tenants through the property during business hours.
(4) The tenant is responsible to maintain security, garden, spa/pool, and cleanliness until the new lease commences.
